The hotel started to irritate me. The Wi-Fi didn’t work and they didn’t seem to care at all. Breakfast though was good.  The room as well.
Started out at 8 in rain. After a couple of kms had to put all the raingear on as I was getting wet. Then it stopped!  It was a wonderful tour close to the Rhine.  Sort of on a small dike. Saw a flying stork so maybe that is why there are several hotels/restaurants called stork.I was more or less alone except for the people fishing. Crossed the border into Germany at 10.
The Garmin tends to lead you good ways but sometimes it sends you down narrow paths or cobbled streets. There is a lot of turning and changing direction which means you loose momentum often.  Then stretches of main road where I would prefer a small detour.
The town’s are beautiful with a lot of “fachwerkhauser” old houses with visible wood frames. Some town’s have complete roads like that.
At least half of my tour today was along vineyards or wineries. Got a bit thirsty! Also passed two wine festivals – blocking my bicycling! Unfortunately didn’t stop for a drink. Arrived at the hotel(another wine town). I can really recommend  this region with beautiful towns and landscape but plan in some time to sober up.
Hotel is a cafe with the Bett &Bike label. No restaurant but wifi works.
Km. 124. Hilly.  State of health: Tired, sour bottom and left Achilles heel irritating.
Had two repair beers before I went for a nap. Then went to a nice restaurant.
